Hello, all! I have promoted thrifting and DIY as a budget-friendly alternative to buying name brand alternative fashion at full retail price. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to have good thrift stores nearby. A great way to find affordable alternative fashion online is to search for second-hand items on Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Etsy, and eBay.
When searching on these sites, I typically type the name of a brand, the type of clothing item I’m looking for, and a size. If I’m not getting many results, I will search only the brand name to see if anything usable pops up. In the below example, I found this dress on eBay new with tags for roughly half the retail price. However, I also will look for second-hand items in good condition (bonus for vintage because I love retro style).
